Flowers have been something I’ve been painting since I was very young.
In my first extracurricular Art class as a seven year old I remember choosing a Hydrangea as the subject for a Watercolor painting lesson and basically from that point on I was hooked!
I spend a lot of time photographing flowers and wandering around gardens and parks just taking them in. My love of flowers definitely came from both of my Grandmothers, who took great pride in their gardens.
Nature is something that is very important to me, I commit some of my spare time to Beach Clean ups and am always conscious of how my decisions affect the environment. I choose recyclable envelopes to accompany my greeting cards and am constantly researching how to limit my impact on the environment.
One of the reasons I am drawn to nature is because it doesn’t matter who you are, or where you come from, its beauty is accessible to everyone.
